yeah, I finally made my own theme on tumblr again :)

Highlights of what happened yesterday while volunteering at a warehouse charity event:

• I worked as a bagger (putting purchased items in bags for customers) with this cashier. This cashier was not very friendly and constantly left the cash without letting us (I worked with my cousin) know.
• We walked away, asked this lady if she needed any help, we’d be glad to help her. We were told that ‘no, it just gets complicated that way‘. Not offended at all.
• So, we decided to be helpful and box things up. We asked these two ladies if they needed help because it looked like they did. They were like ‘uh…’ and got cut off when this OTHER lady accused us of trying to take their box. ‘NO, we need that box! You can find your own at the back!’ Excuse me?

90% of these people were probably company’s employees. I got insanely mad. Plus the fact that they didn’t supply us with ANY food/water for the 5 hours we worked like they said they would in the e-mail.

I’m just saying, this was probably the worst volunteer experience ever. When I volunteered at the Breast Cancer Run last year with friends, we got yelled at because we were ‘late’ to our post. HELLO, ITS FRIGGING POURING RAIN OUTSIDE, we were standing out there for the past few hours and we just went for a washroom break.

My point? Don’t treat your volunteers like they need you. Just because we’re high school students, earning our hours to graduate, does not mean that we do it just for the hell out of it. I personally finished my hours a long time ago, I only continue doing it to actually help out. I mean, I wouldn’t have skipped work if I knew we were gunna be treated like this.

Just putting it out there.

Was I ever glad to get out of that mess.

New haircut :)

My grandma dropped my sister and I at Pacific Mall so we can get out and not rot at home haha (yeah,you’ll notice that I go there often :) ) .  #1 goal? Get a clear case for my phone.

You can see the design through it now :D I think I have commitment issues with my electronics. I mean, I’m constantly changing the design.. the case.. everything.. ahaha. I just like to customize things :(

Work tomorrow and Saturday. YAY PAYCHECK TOMORROW. Volunteering at some warehouse place on Sunday with cousin. Sister’s leaving for a cottage trip and I can’t go because I have work that week. Woohoo…

Okay seriously… I need to buy that ‘fast dry’ drops from a nearby drugmart… everytime I paint my nails, I always ruin them within 2 minutes because they won’t dry fast enoughh gahhh.

Watching an episode of Pretty Little Liars. Its a pretty scary show to me.. so much mystery and all haha. Intense…

I’ve been spending lots and lots of time cleaning up my room after my sister and mom painted my room (I had work all weekend so I couldn’t help). I swear, although I attempted to make it shiny clean, it still looks pretty messy…

So I did choose 2 shades of pink. A light baby pink and a coral-y pink. TA-DA!

Oh my… the batteries in my keyboard finally died. It has been giving me ‘warnings’ for the past few months. I hate wireless keyboards because they require batteries.

I’m always changing my desktop background and window colours. Oh, and also my firefox’s persona haha.

Where do you guys get your desktop backgrounds?

I got asked to work on Tuesday so I’m like sure, I don’t mind the extra money :) Yeah.. but at home, I’m pretty much doing nothing. I’ve been trying to clean up my room for quite a long time. If I have it clean by tomorrow,  I’ll be painting my room a coral colour :) It’ll be a nice change.

Woopss…. I didn’t notice that my new anti-spam plugin was that complicated to install. So whoever tried to comment on my blog previously for the past 2 days probably got a message that indicated that they’re a ‘spambot’. Heh, sorry about that! It’s deactivated so there should be no problem :)

I got another E.L.F. (cosmetics) shipment in yesterday. Woo, did I purchase a whole lot cause it came in a box this time. I guess I have been really into painting my nails and all since I actually have the time.

And maybe I’m nuts.. but I purchased four of the matte clear polish?

I don’t recall myself purchasing that much but ohwell… probably hit the ‘buy’ button several times without noticing since the site was real slow that day.

yeahyeah, back to cleaning my room.

The way I’m spending my summer… it’ll pass by real quick and I’ll regret not doing half the things that I want to do! Every morning, my grandma would bug me to wake up, eat breakfast, watch tv…etc.

What I have actually accomplished so far:

• work extra shifts (I worked 4 days this week… woo!)
• watch tv
• nothing, really.

I like the days when I can make my own breakfast/lunch. Like days where I make my own instant noodles and a small can of Canada Dry before I bus to work = A GREAT DAY. Except the busing part, cause I hate public transit.

Yuup… so I’ll try to blog more often now :|

So I bought this wristlet from Costa Blanca (not sure if it’s a Canadian store or what) last week and I was so excited cause it’ll hold all my cards in place! I put all my important cards into the card slots right away.

Oh man, but two days ago while I went to the mall with my friends, I noticed it was left opened (clumsy me). I didn’t notice anything missing either so I didn’t really mind it. Until I got home. There were these receipts I kept and one with store credit, worth around $20. AHHHHH. It really sucks to be me :/ It has my information (address, name, etc.) and I was just really hoping someone would pick it up and contact me.

I’m just VERY glad that my debit card and identification cards were already safe into the wristlet. But still… I’m still scared that I left some of my debit receipts in there (not that they can take my information, i think?).

GOSH I’m clumsy.

I first saw the angel/devil cases 3 years ago, when my friend had a 2nd generation nano with a devil case. It was the cutest thing ever! haha

So when I went to Hong Kong, I saw an angel case for my ipod shuffle! ahhhhhhh :) I’m not sure how much I got it for back then… but I got it in one of those gift shops.

I actually wanted to go to get a clear case for my blackberry, since I already had a skin on it. At Pacific Mall (asian mall in Toronto…), they sell all these amazing, fabulous iphone cases! How I wish I had an iphone … JUST for the case haha. I finally saw this box for the 9700 (my phone) and it was filled with these angel/devil cases :)

Being the angel that I am (heh), I had to get one :) It was only for $2, but because I’m super duper poor, I didn’t have enough cash on me to get every single colour. I’ll probably go back and get more! (and the devil cases!)

BEHOLD! MY NEW PHONE:

Yuup, thats the Blackberry Bold 9700 :) For this, my bank is crying :’( It’s not a bad phone. BTW, all the bedazzled things on it is a skin I got from work. Pretty, huh? Best perk from work! (rhymes)

So the formal party got cancelled… it’s funny cause on Thursday, I had the most struggling time to find a dress. I couldn’t find one so I just bought whatever I saw from Sirens (store) the day after. The next day, the party was cancelled. Well, I had my receipt and the tag was still on so I got store credit. I wonder what I’ll get with the money.

Being in a TEENY TINY high school, we dont have ‘prom’ or ‘formal’ or whatever you usually call them. Its already bad that we don’t get the ‘real’ high school experience! This time, the graduates finally decided to change things up and plan something for the school. Of course, the school did not support this idea. It took a lot of convincing and blahblahblah, real long story. Basically, we’re gunna go to a banquet and party it up :)

Time to go shopping for a dress! Plus, my sister is graduating this Wednesday!

It’ll cost a lot to pay for the dinner, dress, plus all the accessories, etc. Well, I’ve taken an extra shift this week and worked more hours. Hopefully the upcoming paycheck can cover everything!
